Privacy Policy

Overview
Social Work Futurist operates the Signals Library. This policy explains what information is handled when you browse the public library and when the owner uses its private administration and social-video review tools.
Public browsing
You can browse public signal entries without creating an account. Our hosting provider may process routine technical information such as IP address, device and browser details, requested pages, and timestamps to deliver and protect the service. Public entries may link to third-party sources, TikTok, Instagram, and other websites whose privacy practices are their own.
Owner administration
The private owner workspace uses a passphrase. A temporary owner-session value is kept in the browser’s session storage so the passphrase does not need to be entered for every action; it normally clears when that browser session ends. The site does not use advertising cookies. Service providers may use essential cookies or similar storage to operate their services.
TikTok connection and review drafts
If the owner connects TikTok through Login Kit, the app requests user.info.basic and video.list. We use basic account information and public-video metadata—such as video identifiers, captions, public links, thumbnails, and publication dates—to place videos in a private review inbox. These drafts remain private unless the owner approves them as editorial Signals Library entries.
Disconnecting TikTok immediately deletes the stored TikTok credentials and unpublished TikTok inbox items associated with that connection. Signals already reviewed and published are independent editorial records and remain in the library until the operator removes them or responds to an applicable deletion request.
How information is used and shared
Information is used to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the library; import owner-authorized public videos; prepare private review drafts; and publish approved entries. We do not sell personal information. Information may be processed by Cloudflare for hosting and security, TikTok for connection and video access, and Resend if email delivery is enabled. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the service and its users.
Security and retention
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to this small service, but no internet service can promise absolute security. Private drafts and operational records are retained only as reasonably needed for the workflow, security, legal obligations, or dispute resolution, subject to the TikTok disconnect deletion described above.
